Dinesh Prasad believes that life is forever brimming with great stories and our imagination, technique and creativity are just the means to capture them. His writing is inspired by daily life through interactions between people. ‘East of Love, West of Desire’ is his first collection of novellas. He is in the process of completing his second book called ‘Pin-codes’, which is a collection of short stories. He is inspired by the writing of Amrita Pritam, Gulzar, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Haruki Murakami, Toni Morrison, Carole Martinez, Jeanette Winterson and many many others. Originally from Jabalpur, Dinesh has lived in Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon and London. He is an engineer and holds an MBA from IIMA. He works in the area of Analytics Consulting, though dreams of becoming a full-time writer. He is married to Deepti and has two wonderful children, Abira and Amaarya. Even though time is a commodity in short supply, he enjoys reading, travelling, photography and listening to Jazz and light Indian Classical music.
